The love of my life

The love of my life left me
I suppose it was all of her
And none of me

I replant my garden today
Hoping that it will grow
More flowers, buds
Nectar for the bees

The love of my life
Was right to follow
Her dreams

And I sit here
Planting flowers

Hoping they will sprout
Newness
Resolve
Happiness

Even in the winter months

The love of my life reminded
Me with one letter

Look for me inside
I will always be there

The love of my life is in me
And it can only ever be so

How can I divorce myself
From myself

My left hand and right hand
Begin to plant
And anticipate
The lonely
Orchid

Which blooms every year
Knowing
That it too
Must dwell
In sunlit.
